11: Developing A Connection with Your Students That Lasts Forever with Rabbi Daniel Lewin

In this episode we interview Rabbi Daniel Lewin. He has his semicha (Rabbinical Ordination) from Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim. He currently teaches (Keriah) reading skills to students at the Talmudical Academy of Baltimore, MD. Rabbi Lewin enjoys working with various ages and loves sharing the fundamentals of Torah values, Middot (character traits), and Philosophy. 

  • Take advantage of the opportunity to gain experience as a student teacher.
  • Your students are always watching how you handle yourself and how you act.
  •  Find out how to reach each student.
  • Let them know that G-d/Hashem loves them and is proud of them.
  •  Students will have a good feeling about G-d/Hashem if they’re experiencing success in school.
  •  Developing the connection with your students is something  lasts forever.
  • Find mentors.
  • Be Positive!
  • Ask your student about what’s wrong before giving solution.
